Untitled Abstract

Captured in camera, this scene is not cropped and post-processing involved only tweaking for color and contrast. Though I know what it is, I still have trouble parsing the image!
On a side note, my Web hosting server was attacked through Google’s FeedBurner yesterday, temporarily suspending my account and putting it risk for deletion. I’ve had to disable FeedBurner and delete the feed, so I’ve no idea if subscribers are still receiving updates… If not, and you see this note, you can re-subscribe using the orange RSS link above the right-hand menu column.

I too have trouble parsing this image! I think it would “read” – be less unsettling, if it were rotated 90-drees clockwise. But then it might be boring, lol.
This angle is unexpected and the little visual info you’ve provided doesn’t give us anything much to go on. And so we must appreciate the image for its purely abstract nature of triangle and lines.

Micheline, iGoogle probably has the old “feedburner” link — the one I had to delete. Since I don’t use iGoogle, I’m not sure how the link can be changed on that page…

Thank you for your feedback, Flo. I’m trying to figure out how to title such images in a way that will give the viewer some hint of context but not limit their discovery with my own interpretation. It’s a challenge.
In this case, “Boat in Water” would be the literal description…

I gathered that it has to be the prow of a boat in the water. But that just doesn’t explain the triangle in the right! I just can’t wrap my head around how that one section of reflections got to be so different from the reflections below the boat’s hull, lol.

This is JMR from TME. I just dropped by after viewing your work on Flicker and am very impressed. I look forward to seeing more of your work. Re this image, I love the triangular design and how you have turned reality on its head. The labels have been stripped- a fine abstract image.
