I came across this subject in the courtyard of a fabulous place called “Architectural Artifacts“, where they generously let me roam and take pictures to my heart’s content. Propped upright against a fence, it was perhaps 15 feet tall and I have no idea what it is.  🙂

An 80,000 square foot complex on three levels packed with oddities, Architectural Artifacts is my new bad weather go-to location.

  1. Hi, April

Amazing abstract. Love the metallic color. Did you think of a square crop from the bottom? The rectangular or potrait format gives me a boring feeling.

  2. That’s an interesting suggestion, Micheline, and had not not occurred to
    me. Here’s one variation:

It is cropped from the top to preserve the optical illusion. Perhaps I misunderstood your comment?

  3. Very interesting cropping. Love the idea to preserve the optical illusion. Love the camaïeu effect. I prefer this second version.

If you have time, I would like to see a square cropped version, like you did, but from the bottom.

P.S. My God! I am not sure anymore. Maybe I prefer the original.

    Love to see your work.

  4. Love the camaïeu effect

Which I learn means “monochrome” in English. 🙂

    Here you go:

(I haven’t figured out how to post images directly into comments. A task for another day!)
