  1. Hi, April – thanks for posting the link to the book, which is also a link to the Miksang Photo guys’ website.

I joined and submitted an image in the Color category. I also saw your “Sticky” image among the Texture gallery submissions.

During Marti’s recent workshop in Callaway Gardens, she had us sit down some place quiet and close our eyes and quiet our thoughts and pay attention to our other senses. It’s amazing how this helped me shift gears and see things to shoot that I normally might have walked past or not been affected by.

Your image here and also the other one, Blue Beads,” certainly are different. It’s almost like the wall and sidewalk are having their own versions of Mardi Gras!

    Hugs,
    Flo

  2. Hi April

Lovely textures and contrasting colours. I identified the image immediately as one of fun and good times. The composition is pleasant and nicely balanced.

    Well done

This sounds like a wonderful way to settle down and open up, in the environment—before rushing to take advantage of our (oh so limited) time to make photographs.

It really is about conveying the experience, isn’t it…

Alan, what a pleasure to see you here! Thank you for taking the time to visit and comment.

That you also felt the playfulness of this image is a delight.
