Another find on a different day, in the alleyways of our neighborhood.
It’s a little creepy to be walking alone in those venues with a nice camera, but also a bit like traveling to a different city and exploring with fresh eyes.

The flash of bright red behind this fence caught my eye while walking through an alley. Then I discovered the yellow, and even a bright green—though I couldn’t fit that into the frame from my vantage point.

Captured in camera, this scene is not cropped and post-processing involved only tweaking for color and contrast. Though I know what it is, I still have trouble parsing the image!
On a side note, my Web hosting server was attacked through Google’s FeedBurner yesterday, temporarily suspending my account and putting it risk for deletion. I’ve had to disable FeedBurner and delete the feed, so I’ve no idea if subscribers are still receiving updates… If not, and you see this note, you can re-subscribe using the orange RSS link above the right-hand menu column.

Over on Flickr, Micheline asked “How come we do not see [these images] on your blog?” In part, it’s because I wasn’t sure what I thought of them.
The scenes struck me as poignant… People who don’t have much still find ways to introduce beauty and pleasure into their lives: a gentle sound, bright color, blooming flowers, a day at the beach. I’d love to know if that comes across for you in these images, or not!
